THIS WEEKEND'S GAMES TO WATCH

Post by TDdemeo » Thu Nov 17, 2011 10:42 am

Coaches,
Another great weekend of college football lined up. Some great coaching match ups.
Tonight's NFL game is interesting because of Tim Tebow. Tebow & the Broncos are running a option Oriented offense & the NFL "old Guard" can't handle it. Tebow can illicit hate from the ESPN crowd faster than a member of Al Qiada but HE WINS. Look for the Broncs to confuse The Jets tonite.

Nebraska vs Mich. - In the Big House. The Pelinis can coach "D" & wiil give D. Robinson problems. They should be able to do enough with Martinez to eke out a win if they have perfect ball security. The Wolves only chance is to let Denard be Denard.

Miss St. vs Ark. - The Bulldogs went from over-rated to under-rated. This could be a trap game for the Hogs, but Petrino usually finds a way to win.For MSU to pull off the upset it MUST be an 8 possession game & they can't give up a non-offensive TD. The Bulldogs have an "O" capable of this.

Vandy vs Tenn. - The 'Dores had a breakout game last week & look for them to continue to improve. James Franklin has the VU "O" on track with a balanced attack that can control the clock. The last time the 'Dores looked this good - Moses was parting the Red Sea.

K-State vs Texas - Bill Snyder has done it again. He has brought back the Wildcat program back from the dead for The SECOND time! The 'Horns have improved this year but the Cats QB is one of the most underated players in the USA. K-State must control the ball by running it & make UT go the long way to score. A good chance to see how far K State has come.

USC vs Oregon - The Ducks are flying high, hopefully they are not hung over from last weeks demolition of Stanford. Chip Kelly will play fat break football and USC will try to keep up but too many weapons for the Ducks. The only cance for USC is to stop the Ducks run game & control the game on "O". If they try to play at Chip's speed - it won't be pretty.

There are some diverse philosophies playing each other which makes college football so much fun.
Take Care
Tony
PS Hats off to the OU Bobcats & Frank Solich for wiining the MAC East Championship.

Congrats to IOWA ST. in their HUGE "W" over Okie St. - what an upset!
Wally Burnham ISU's DC is a "D" genius - another great job. Wally was the reason USF achieved their success in the Big East.
